About The Chantry Library

The Chantry Library is the Resource Centre of Icon, the Institute of Conservation – the lead voice for the conservation of cultural heritage in the UK. We provide services to members and non-members with an interest in conservation and the work of conservators. With a wide selection of holdings, including monographs, journals and key conference proceedings, the library aims to provide a balance of practice-based and research-led information to support the work of our members and to help raise awareness of heritage conservation issues beyond the boundaries of the profession.

This news page will be used to provide readers with regular updates on new books, journals and conference proceedings that arrive in the library, articles that may be of interest to library users, and other relevant information from the Chantry Library. Please feel free to comment on posts and discuss any items added. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

For more details of the Chantry Library and its services see our new website.
